Second Wind classic yacht under sail, towing a dinghy

Welcome Aboard

The Second Wind Sail Club was created for people who love the timeless beauty of classic yachts and the freedom of being on the water — without the responsibility of boat ownership.

We take care of the maintenance, insurance, dockage, storage, and seasonal preparation so you can simply arrive and enjoy your time on the water.

Here on the water in Connecticut, whether you're an experienced sailor looking for dependable access to a beautiful yacht, or someone eager to begin your sailing journey with hands-on lessons from Captain Rob, you'll find a welcoming community and more time doing what you love.

Find Your Fit

Tell us about your sailing experience and what you're hoping for — we'll suggest the best way to get on the water with us.

One requirement for every boater

Every boater must hold a boating certificate issued by the State of Connecticut — Skippers and potential First Mates alike. You earn it by completing an approved eight-hour course with a proctored exam. A live online class with an instructor counts; a self-paced online course does not. Upcoming classes are listed on the State of Connecticut's boating classes page, and we're happy to help you find one.
